Selfboats (Dutch Chamber of Commerce/KvK 89691687, Boeimeer Park, Breda) rents out electric self-drive mini-boats. To make a booking we need a small amount of personal data from you. This policy explains what that is, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
When you book a boat via boeken.selfboats.nl, we ask for:
You pay at the location. We don't process any payment, card or bank details online.
Only to carry out your booking: recording and confirming your reservation (with a one-time 6-digit code by email), contacting you if needed (for example about weather or scheduling), sending you a reminder before your trip, and — afterwards — sending a one-time request for a review. We don't use your data for advertising and we don't sell it to third parties.
We process this data because it's necessary to carry out the booking agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). No separate consent is required for this purpose.
We keep booking data for as long as needed for our administration, and in any case for as long as Dutch tax law requires (7 years) for data that forms part of our bookkeeping.
We only share data with parties needed to make the booking and payment work:
We have agreements in place with these parties about how they handle your data.
Google. Google only receives anything if you choose so yourself: when you click the map (Google Maps), or when you post a review on Google via the link in our review email. Google's privacy policy applies to that.
This site does not use analytics or advertising cookies. The booking page only uses a functional session cookie needed to make the booking form and payment work — no cookie banner is required for that. Fonts and scripts on both the website and the booking page are loaded from our own server (not live from Google or other parties), and the map under "Location" only loads after you click it.
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, and to object to its processing. Contact us via the email address below. If we can't resolve it together, you can file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
